Israeli postcard from the eve of Rosh Hashana 1974 handwritten and signed by the Admor Rabbi Pinchas Menachem Alter of Ger who was known as the Pnei Menachem. Sent from Jerusalem.
Addressed to the deputy chairman of Agudat Yisrael, Rabbi Moshe Eliyahu Irnstein Halevi, with warm blessings: "לרגלי השנה הבעל"ט הנני מברך אותך ואת משפ‘ בברכת כוח"ט ושנה טובה ומבורכת, ורוב נחת מצאצאיכם היקרים שיחי’ מתוך הרווחה, הרחבה, בריאות ומנוחת נפש כעתירת ידידכם בלב ונפש פינחס מנחם אלטר ומשפ‘".

The Admor Rabbi Pinchas Menachem Alter, the Pnei Menachem of Ger (1926-1996). the youngest son of the Admor of Ger, Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Alter (the Imrei Emet). He served as Rosh Yeshiva of the Sefat Emet yeshiva in Jerusalem for many years. In 1992 after his brother (the Lev Simcha) passed away, he became Admor and led the Ger Chassidut for four years, until his passing.
