"החזית הדתית המאוחדת היא עכשיו בעקבתא דמשיחא עיקר העיקרים לעריכת נר לבן ישי משיח צדקנו" Letter with the handwritten signature of the Admor the holy Rav Rabbi Mordechai Shalom Yosef Friedman of Sadigura/Pshemishel, addressed to a congress of HaMizrachi – Tel Aviv 1949.

Background: In 1949, the first elections for the Israeli Knesset were held. The Chareidi public, which was then a small minority, incorparated with the religious public to form a a joint list for the upcoming election, the Chazit Datit Me’uchedet (United Religious Front) party. In those days, an international conference of HaMizrachi was held in Jerusalem. Rabbeinu, who was one of the initiators of the United Religious Front, made tremendous efforts to unite the entire religious public in Israel. In this letter, which was sent to the conference, Rabbeinu writes: "רוח האחדות והליכוד עם יתר חלקי היהדות החרדית במדינת ישראל לכל מפלגותיה, תחת חזית מאוחדת אמיתית, כדי לסייע לעיצוב דמותה של ישראל, ושל שארית הגולה….החזית הדתית המאוחדת היא עכשיו בעקבתא דמשיחא עיקר העיקרים לעריכת נר לבן ישי משיח צדקנו".

The Admor Rabbi Mordechai Shalom Yosef  Friedman (1897-1979) of Sadigura/Pshemishl, author of Knesset Mordechai of Sadigura  When he was approx. 16, he was appointed Admor. Was a member of Mo’etzet Gedolei HaTorah for many years. In 1939 during a visit to Israel, he visited his cousin the Admor Rabbi Yisrael of Husiatyn. When he got up to leave his cousin asked to see his passport; when he gave it to him, he put it in his pocket and would not return it to him so that he could not return to Europe. In this manner the Admor was saved from the Holocaust, and miraculously his family was also brought to Israel before the war broke out. He established his new Beit Midrash in Tel Aviv.
