On the upper edge of the title page, the signature of the Admor Rabbi David Bornstein of Sochatchov, author of the Chasdei David: "דוד בארנשטיין" (the pencil signature is trimmed in its upper part and can barely be seen). In addition, on the title page and elsewhere in the book, his stamps: "דוד בארנשטיין בהרהגה"ק זצוקללה"ה מסאכטשוב".

The holy Admor Rabbi David Bornstein of Sochatchov (1876-1943) the son of the Admor the Shem MIshmuel of Sochatchov, the third Admor of Sochatchov and author of the Chasdei David. One of the leading Admorim of Poland and a member of Mo’etzet Gedolei HaTorah. Established the Beit Avraham yeshivas in memory of his father. During the Holocaust was one of the public leaders of Ghetto Warsaw and a source of comfort.
