Auction 66
Lot 22:
Some of Mishnayot Zera’im, Moed and Nezikin, small format (14.5 cm.) "with a commentary compiled from Bartenura and the Gaon Tosfot Yom Tov and from Kaf Nachat" – unique commentary that was apparently published only once on these Mishnayot. Apparently printed in Zholkva by Aharon and Gershon, the sons of Chaim David Segal in 1740. In varied bibliographical listings, we could not find a copy matching this one, except for the National Library, where there is only Nezikin and its listing is also partial. The section of Zeraim and Moed do not appear in the National Library.
Many leaves that were missing were completed by hand, in fine script, possibly by Meir Roth, who signed his name on the first leaf. A total of 28 leaves handwritten on both sides. Stains and marks of usage. Wear with some tears slightly affecting the text. Old, worn binding. Good overall condition.
