Sefer Bamidbar fourth section of Chamisha Chumshei Torah, with Targum, Rashi’s commentary and the Be’er Mayim Chaim commentary by Rabbi Chaim of Cherovich, author of Sidduro shel Shabbat. Printed by the brothers Chanina Lipa, Aryeh Leib and Yehoshua Heschel Shapira, the grandsons of the Rav of Slavuta in Zhytomyr in 1852. 155 leaves. Many moth perforations and damage, some of them professionally restored. Many blemishes affecting the text. New binding. Fair-poor condition. 

Especially rare Chumash, the only edition printed in Zhytomyr by the Shapira Brothers that contained the Be’er mayim Chaim commentary. The section of Bamidbar is not the national Library. The Bibliography of the Hebrew Book notes that this section was not seen. 

Varied owner’s signatures: "שייך לר’ עקיבא משה אדליר מסטאניסלאב", "הק’ יעקב הלל ליכטענשטיין", "הק’ יוסף ולטעץ סעקעלהיד תש"א", "יחיאל שמשון בלא"א מנחם פלעקסיר" וחותמות "מנחם בן גרשון פלעקסיר". On the back flyleaf, a touching handwritten notation with a Dvar Torah by Rabbi Shimshon of Ostropoli.
