Sefer Korban Asham on tractate Yoma, Bechorot, Chulin, Temurah, Kritut, Me’ilah, Tamid, Beitzah and Shvu’ot. by Rabbi Yitzchak ben Rabbi Shimshon Sacharlish of Pressburg. Single Edition Sulzbach, 1777. 80 leaves. Impressive title page with an engarved illustration of Moshe and Aharon, the Binding of Yitzchak, the vessels of the Temple and other Biblical scenes.
Loose front board. Some taping. Some moth hdamage and perforations. Blemished, reinforced leather binding. Stains. Fair-good overall condition.
On verso of the title page, an ownershop notation: "ספר זה… אני ה"ק אהרן שמואל בלאא"א הגאון מהרי"א" – referring to the son of the Gaon Rabbi Yehuda assad – the Gaon Rabbi Aharon Shmuel Assad (1830-1905) who succeeded his father as Rav of Duna-Sardhali in Slovakia and held the position for thirty six years. Was a disicple of his father and of the Ketav Sofer. Received his Semicha from Rabbi Shlomo Kluger and Rabbi Avraham Shag-Tzweber.
Beneath this on verso of the title page: "אני הק’ יוסף כ"ץ מסעמושטוק/ך".. On the title page, notations: v
