Lot 168:
Two letters handwritten and signed by Rabbi Yisrael Aharon (Harry) Fischel, addressed to Rabbi Dov Ber Hacohen Kook, Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Hacohen Kook’s Brother and president of the Harry Fischel Institute.
Both letters (written on the stationery of a Kosher hotel in France) were written in Yiddish, a few days apart. In his first letter, Rabbi Fischel writes that on his way to Paris, he stopped for Sabbath in Elsas "און ריכטיגע הידישע אומשטאנד" (in a true Jewish hotel).
