Lot 142:
Ashlei Ravravei of Tur Yoreh Deah, with the first edition of Be’ur HaGra "ביאור הגאון רבי אליהו זל" – Horodna, 1806. Vinograd, OtzarSifer HaGra 749.
The book was edited by his sons the Geonim Rabbi Yehuda Leib and Rabbi Avraham, by the order of the holy Gaon Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Shklov. Therefore, this edition contained only the content of the Shulchan Aruch by Maran the Beit Yosef, with the commentary of the Gaon of Vilna and the Be’er Hagolah commentary but without the Taz and the Shach.
With an approbation by the Gaon Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Shklov.
Bluish paper.
23, (1), 24-176 leaves.
The title page and leaf 2 are partly incomplete and professionally restored. Restored moth damage to the last leaves. Possibly, the book is composed of two copies. Good condition.
