Shut Chatam Sofer, Even HaEzer section II, by Rabbi Moshe Sofer, the Chatam Sofer. First Edition Pressburg, 1859. [1], 86, [2] leaves. Stefansky Sifrei Yesod 311.
Detached binding. Stains. The least leaf is restored, affecting the text. Good overall condition.
On the title page, an ownership notation: "נחום לעווי" – Rabbi Nachum Loewy (1810-1866) the son of the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Posner and a disciple of the Chemdat Shlomo. Serrved as Av Beit Din of Shadik and was known as Rabbi Nachum Shadiker. Immigrated to the Land of Israel and soon becamed famed as a Gaon Kabbalist. His sons were Rabbi Davuid Baharan and Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Baharan.
On the title page, a signature: "שלמה זלמן" and on the first leaf, an additional notation: "שלמה זלמן לעוו" – eaither his borther who served as Av beit Din of Zlotchov or his son, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Baharan.
