Shut Yabi’a Omer, section I – Orach Chaim and Yoreh Deah, The first volume of Maran the Rishon LeZion Rabbi Ovadya Yosef’s monumental work. First edition – Jerusalem 1954. 15, [1]-252 pp. Detached binding. Some detached leaves with fractures to the edges. Good overall condition. 

On the title page, a dedication handwritten by Rabbeinu the author: "ספר זה הוקדש לישיבת עץ חיים בירושלים מאת הרב וכו’ ר’ אברהם הלוי פטאל שליט"א לע"נ בנו שנקטף בלא עת אביגדור בן זכייה ז"ל נלב"ע יום ה’ שבט תש"ט תנצב"ה"  – Rabbeinu notes here the name of his father-in-law Rabbi Patal, who donated the book to commemorate his son-Maran’s brother-in-law who passed away young. 

On the flyleaf, a dedication in square script, possibly also handwritten by Rabbi Ovadya.
