Sefer Yam Shlomo on Yevamot, by the famed Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Luria, also known as the Maharshal,   Av Beit Din of Lublin, who was a friend of the Maharsha.  First Edition –  Altona 1740. [2], 93, [3] leaves. In the National Library, the book appears in the Rare Book Collection.  Stefansky Sifrei Yesod no. 64. 

Back board and a little spine only. An open tear to the title page. Some moth perforations. Stains. Good overall condition. 

On leaf 82b, a significant gloss handwritten and signed by the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Shag (1801?-1876). One of the leading disciples of the Chatam Sofer. Was the teacher and Rav of the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Chaom Sonnenfeld. Author of Shut Ohel Avraham and Drashot HaRosh.

In addition, two additional short glosses handwritten by him. On the title page, a notation: "שייך לה’ המפורסם כ"ה יודא דעמביטץ שי’ מפ"ב" [-מפרשבורג]. On leaf 5, a notation: "לה הארץ ומלואה הק’ יעקב דוד".
