Impressive and Rare Copy with an Original Parchment Binding: Midrash Tanchuma - One the First Books Printed in Verona, 1595.

Sefer Tanchuma, “also called Yelamdenu, a midrash on Chamish Chumshei TTorah”, an edition with additions, including a few parshiyot not printed previously and an elucidtion of foreign words.

Printed in Verona (the 6th or 7th book printed in the city), 1595. 97, [1] leaves. In the National Library and in the libraries of the Tel Aviv and Bar-Ilan Universities,
the book appears in the Rare Book Collection. Title page with an impressive engraved illustration of cherubs, angels, and more. At the beginning of each chumash, the first word appears in a finely engarved border.

Original, stable parchment binding, scuffed. Fine. wide margins. Professionally restored title page and additional leaves. Stains. Very good overall condition for such an ancient and rare book.
