Lot 61:
Letter with interesting content, in the pearly script of the Gaon rabbi Yechezkel Abramsky, addressed to the Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Waldenberg, about his famed book the Chazon Yechezkel of the Tosefta.
At the beginning of his letter, Rabbeinu apologizes for the delay in sending his reply, due to work as Rav: "החדש האחרון עבר עלי בעבודה רבה, ואזלת ידי מכתוב אל ידידי באשר הי’ עם לבבי באמת. ורק היום שאין ישיבת בית דין, לקחתי לי מועד, לעריכת אגרות ברכה ושלום. וכמובן ידידי היה מן הראשונים".
Later in the letter, Rabbeinu asks Rabbi Waldenberg to send 12 copies of the Chazon Yechezkel to the following rabbis and yeshivas: Rabbi Yitzchak Berlin, Rabbi Mishkovsky, Rabbi Fischman, Rabbi Assaf, Rabbi Shaer, the Rav of Ponovezh, Yeshivat Chachmei Lublin, Rabbi Yaffe and Rabbi Unterman.

Maran the Gaon rabbi Yechezkel Abramsky (1886-1976) author of the Chazon Yechezkel. Rosh Yeshiva of Slabodkaleader of the Chareidi community after the Holocaust and one of the leaders of Mo’etezt Gedolei HaTorah. In 1923, Rabbeinu was appomited the Rav of Slutzk, replacing the Gaon Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer, who escaped the Communists. Rabbeinu himself suffered from the KGB and in 1930 was sentenced to five year in Siberia. Follwoing the pressure of Jews from al laround the world, he was released and left the USSR to London. In his final years he lived in Jerusalem.
