Lot 58:
"ידעתיו מכבר ע"פ הכתובים יורד לעומקו של הלכה" Warm letter of approbation handwritten entirely by the Posek Maran Rabbi Yechiel Michl Halevi Epstein, Av Beit Din of Novhardok and author of the monumental work, Aruch Hashulchan – Novhardok, 1898.
The letter of approbation was sent to Rabbi Yehuda Leib Hacohen Fischman (Maimon) with an approbation for Rabbi Maimon’s book on the Rambam. In his letter, the Aruch Hashulchan uses many superlatives to describe him: "כהן שדעתו יפה ואמרתו צרופה שכלו ברה וסברתו ברורה… ידעתיו מכבר ע"פ הכתובים יורד לעומקו של הלכה בגפ"ת ועתה שלח לי קונטרס שבו עלה אל הר המלך רבינו הגדול הרמב"ם…" we do not know of such a book by Rabbi Maimon, so possibly, he changed his mind about publishing it.
