The Admor Rabbi Elazar Halevi Rosenfeld of Oshpitzin (1862-1943), “Rabbi Elazar Oshpitziner”, was the son of the Admor Rabbi Yehoshua of Kominka and son-in-law of the Admor Rabbi Chaim of Sanz (the Divrei Chaim). In 1936 he immigrated to Israel (to Tzfat) and then to Jerusalem, where he established his Beit Midrash. In 1939, due to health issues, he returned to Poland where he perished in Sosnowitz, to where he had been deported with the residents of his town.
