First edition of Sha’ar Ma’amrei Rashbi by Rabbi Chaim Vital – Salonika 1862. Stefansky Sifrei Yesod 353. 69, 25 leaves (missing title page). Good overall condition. 

Appearing on the flyleaf are two stamps of the Admor Rabbi Shmuel Bornstein of Sochatchov, author of Shem MiShmuel: "שמואל בהג"הק מהר"א זצ"ללה"ה בארנשטיין זגערוש". On leaf 1, an additional stamp from his time in Sochatchov: שמואל בהג"הק מהר"א זצ"ללה בארנשטיין סאכטשאב פלך ווארשא".

The Admor Rabbi Shmuel Bornstein of Sochatchov (1856-1926)  author of the famed book Shem MiShmuel, which became a basic Chssidic book. The only son and disciple of the Avnei Nezer. In his father’s lifetime was the Rosh Yeshiva of a large yeshiva in Sochatchov. Was a famed Gaon who dealt with Tikunei Neshamot.
