Siddur Lev Same’ach – one of the earliest Chassidiב Siddurim, authored by the Admor Rabbi Chanoch Henich Av Beit Din of Olesk, the son-in-law Maran the Sar Shalom of Belz.

Second Edition published by the author’s grandsons in his lifetime with many additions by the Rav the author, as noted on the title page. Also added here for the first time, Derech HaChaim Dinim by the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov of Lisa (the Chavat Da’at). Lemberg, 1883. An additional title page for the second section. Section I: [2], 256 leaves. Section II: [1], 258-294, 321-324 leaves. 64 leaves from the end are missing here. It is important to note that this book is not in the National Library and is not listed in the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book and Chassidim consider it to be extremely rare.

The first title page and the following leaf are restored. Taping and tears. Signed of wear and much usage. Some moth. Ancient leather binding, apparently, original, with new reinforcements. Fair-good overall condition.

This Siddur belonged to the Admor Rabbi Chanoch Dov Silberfarb of Koidinov and it came to us from his library.  between the leaves of the Siddur, which is well-worn from use, there are Kvitlech – notes with names for blessing.

The Admor Rabbi Chanoch Dov Silberfarb (1890-1978), son of Rabbi Meshulam Zalman Joseph, was born and raised in Cebu Koidinov. Later he moved to Tofrov where his father was appointed as Rav. Like his father, was also a close to the Belz Chassidut. In 1929, became the Admor of Botoşani, Romania, succeeding his in-law Rabbi Moshe of Sulitza. During the Holocaust, he helped Polish refugees in Romania. In 1948, he immigrated to Israel and settled in Tel Aviv. His Beit Midrash was established on Dizengoff Street.
