Rabbi Matityahu Strashun (1818-1886) was a Lithuanian rabbi, a book collector and bibliophile. He founded the Strashun library. He was the son of the well-known Talmudist, Rabbi Shmuel Strashun (the Rashash). Studied under Rabbi Yitzhak of Volozhin and Rabbi Menashe of Iliya
