“To show the righteousness of Chazal in general and in detail, and to fight the Heavenly battle against the execptions, with the inclusion of wide-ranging maamarim on the depth of halacha, for general consumption” by Rabbi Moshe ben Yoel Waldberg. Two sections in one volume, printed in Iasi. First edition. Part 1, 1864; Part 2, 1868. [14], 70, [2], 8, 50 leaves. Additional title page for the second section.
At the beginning are long prefaces by the author, in which he expounds on what led him to write the work, which is practically a response to the earlier work “Darka shel Torah” by Samuel Pineles of Galați. In the introduction, the author explains that this essay (Darka shel Torah) undermines faith in the Oral Torah and thus contempt for tradition and is in fact a lie and deception; the work’s name was given to him by the aforementioned Pineles in order to seduce the souls of the youth. Overall good condition.
