Lot 37:
Touching authentic indication of the joyful event of the marriage of the Rebbe Rabbi Menachem Mendel and the Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka, which took place on the 14th of Kislev 1928 at the courtyard of the Tomchei Temimim yeshiva in Warsaw, Poland. During the historical wedding feast, the Rebbe Rayatz ordered one of the student of the Tomchei Temimim Yeshiva to give, on his behalf, a special gift to each and everyone of the guests, a part of which is presented here in all its glory.
Originally, what was handed out was a special sheet with a photocopy of a manuscript by the Admor Hazaken Ba’al HaTanya, the bride and bridegroom’s grandfather. This is its second part – aded to this gift was a photocopy of a letter by the Rebbe Rayatz bearing the dat eof the wedding. In his letter, the Rebbe Rayatz notes: לזכרון טוב ליום כלולת בתי הכלה מ’ חיה מושקא תחי’ עם ב"ג החתן הרב מ’ מנחם מענדל שי’. הנני בזה לכבד את כל הנוטלים חלק בשמחת לבבנו, מקרוב ומרחוק, בתשורה המוסגרת בזה, העתק מכתב כתב יד קדשו של הוד כ"ק אדמו"ר אאזמו"ר, אבינו הראשון, רבנו הגדול זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, אשר סגולה יהי’ לכל מילי דמיטב, מנפש ועד בשר, בתוככי ידידינו אנ"ש, ד’ עליהם יחיו, וכל מחבבי תורה יחיו". Printed on the left side of the sheet: "פרשת מכתב קדש זה…", a photocopy of a letter handwritten by one of the secretaries of the Rebbe Rayatz detailing the circumstances that led the Rebbe to write the letter appearing in the photocopy.
