Sefer Ohel Yaakov, on Hilchot Chametz and Matzah by the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Yaakov Av Beit Din of Alesk, ben Rabbi Eliezer Lipa. The press of the Rebbetzin Judith Rosanis, the wife of the Gaon Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Rosanis Av Beit Din of Lvov, who was also one of the approbators of the book – first edition, Lemberg, 1794. [1], 56 [i.e. 55] leaves. Edited by the author’s in-law Rabbi Avraham Abli of Drohobych. Joint approbation by some of the leading rabbis of the period.
Rare book which to the best of our knowledge has not been seen in auctions. This copy is a variant, distinct from that of the National Library since the last page contains the names of all the people involved in the printing process etc.
Almost completely detached binding. Stains. On leaf 50b, an ancient notation: "הק’ צבי מנחם מענדל אב"ד דק’ עיר חדש".
