Lot 273:
"שלום וברכה בכל ענין בימי ענין" Letter handwritten and signed by the Admmor of Kashau, addressed to the Admor of Temashvor – New York, 1976.
Rabbeinu ends his letter with warm blessings: "ה’ הטוב ישלח לו עזרו וברכתו מקודש בברכה המשולשת אכי"ר" and signs his name: "רפאל בן גיטל".
The Admor Rabbi Refuel Blum, Av Beit Din of Kashau (ca. 1909-2005) was the disciple of Rabbi Shaul Broch and Rabbi Avraham Shalom Halberstam of Stropkov. After his wedding he established a yeshiva in Michalovce, where his father-in-law lived. After the Holocaust, he established a Beit Din for agunot in Kashau and gave Heiterim to more than 200 agunot. A number of years later he immigrated to the United States and established the Kashau community there. He was considered one of America’s Gedolim and was an address for receiving advice and blessing to all Chareidi Jew of the USA.
