Sefer Lev HaIvri by Rabbi Akiva Yosef Schlesinger. First Section cobtaining a commentary on the will of the Chatam Sofer and additional Divrei Mussar. At its end, 4 leaves that were added for the first time in this edition "Yad Ivri". Section II, first edition of this section including many words of rebuke and Mussar. Lvov, 1868. [4], 76; [1], 82-84; [12], 9-90, [10], 73-75 leaves (mispagination in section II). Moth perforations and damage. Stains and marks of usage. No binding. Fair-good overall condition.
On the flyleaf, the title page and the following leaf, many varied stamps of "הק’ משה רוזינשטיין מבא"ד / מבארדיטשוב" and signatures and stamps of his son "הק’ צבי / הירש רוזינשטיין צפת"ו".
The holy Rav Rabbi Moshe Meir Halevi Rosenstein of Berditchev (1821-1902) Rabbi Mosheleh Berditchover, the son of Rabbi Mordechai whi was a Chassid of the holy Rav of Opatow. A leading disciple of the Saba Kaddisha of Ruzhin and his son, the Admor hazaken of Sadigura and the Admor the Pachad Yitzchak of Boyan. In 1853, immigrated to Safed. His Divrei Torah and Sipurei Tzaddikim were published recently in Avodat Haleviyim – Or Haganuz, where his biography also appears.
Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Halevi Rosenstein (1840-1913) Rabbi Herscheleh Berditchover, Rabbi Mosheleh’s son. In 1865, immigrated to Safed, following in his father’s footsteps, and became one of the leaders of its community. He is buried in Tiberius. His only son, Rabbi Yosef Dov, was killed in Lag BaOmer in Meron, during the Hillula of 1911, when a balcony collapsed. He was buried near Rashbi’s grave.
