Lot 22:
Sefer Melitz Yosher, a small, special book "לבאר כל תעלומה אשר בסליחת תא שמע מארי עלמא", a Slicha that was authored by Rabbi Ephraim Bar Yaakov of Bono (with the text). With the chapters: Ma’agalei Yosher – translation of the Slicha from Aramaic to Hebrew, Derech Chochma noting the sources of the Slicha and its versions. By Rabbi Yeshaya ben Yosef Romanin. On the title page: "מנחה היא שלוחה אל… ר’ משה מנחם מררי נר"ו".
First and single edition (printed later as a facsimile edition) at the Bragadin Press – Venice, 1730. In the National Library, the book appears in the Rare Book Collection. At its end, Seder Hatarat Nedarim, Seder Messirat Moda’ah [for the dying], a prayer for the cemetery and more.
On leaf 2a, a beautiful poem in honor of the author by Rabbeinu Moshe Chaim Luzzatto, the Ramchal, beginning with: "כיפי ארמון נשגב בהיכל מלך" and praising the author and his book with poetic phrases: "על ראש חוצות יפוצו, ברכות כל ישרי לב לך ירוצו" and ending with: "אוהב טהור לב (!) משה חיים לוצאטו".
Ancient leather binding, original? mostly detached. Healthy paper. Moth damage. Fair overall condition.
