Printed by the partners, grandsons of the Rav of Slavuta, the rabbinic Chanina Lipa and the rabbinic Yehoshua Heschil Shapira, in Zhytomyr, 1863,

original bindings, dismantled in poor condition. Many moth perforations. Stains and some mold stains. Blemishes, some affecting the text throughout the entire set. Most of the set is in reasonable condition. 

Ownership stamps "בנימין זאב רויטבערג, שו"ב" and in Cyrillic letters, the name of the town Mogilev Podolsk, Ukraine – Rabbi Binyamin Ze’ev Rotberg, a leading Chortkov Chassid, immigrated to Eretz Yisrael and served as a Shochet in Kfar Yechezkel, where he built the first synagogue in the area, which was visited by the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld and by Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Hacohen Kook during their famed journey to the area. Rabbi Binyamin used to rise his donkey to the settlement of Emek Yizrael to circumcise babies of the second Aliyah and serve as Shochet and Bodek. He coped graciously yet with valor with the objection of the members of the second Aliyah to any Jewish symbol. Author of Zecher Binyamin on the Torah [Jerusalem, 1934]. Passed away in Kislev 1928 in Tel Aviv, where he was buried.
