The Gaon Rabbi Ben Zion Katz Av beit Din of Chernovich (1887-1934) a disciple of Rabbi Aryeh Leibush Horowitz the author of Harei Besamim and of Rabbi Yitzchak yehuda Shmelkis the author of Shut Beit Yitzchak. Served as rav of Brashov and Chernovich. Author of Sefer Geon Zvi on Kodshim. passed away young when he was only 46.
