Lengthy letter handwritten and signed by the mashgiach Rabbi Eliyahu Dessler, author of Michtav MeEliyahu, to Rabbi Yechiel Yaakov Weinberg author of Sridei Esh – London, 1946.

In his letter, Maran the Mashgiach refers to an unknown detail of his biography: an offer he received for a position in Switzerland: "אמנם דעת בתי ת’ הוא כמקדם כי אינה חפצה בשום אופן לקבוע מגורה בשוויץ שהוא סמוך כעת אצל הרוסים האדומים ע"כ זה מעכבה מלהתיישב". Rabbeinu also refers to Rabbi Weinberg’s books Sridei Esh.

Rabbeinu ends his letter with warm blessings: "יתברך בכוח"ט ויזכה לשנת בריאות וכל טובה ונזכה כולנו לשנת גאולה שלמה אמיתית ידידו מכבדו מאד כע"ה א. א. דסלר"
