Sefer Shevet MeYisrael, commentary on Sefer Tehillim by Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael ben Rabbi Zbi Hirsch. Single edition (was later reprinted as a facsimile edition) – Zholkva, 1772. Originally, [3], 26, 19, 2-18, [1], 22-24, 28, [2] leaves. In this copy, the title page and [2] leaves at the end are missing. In the National Library, the book appears in the Rare Book Collection.
No binding. Detached leaves. Much moth damage. Some creased leaves. Poor overall condition.

the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Berlin of Volozhin was the son of the Natziv. He served as Chief Rabbi of Moscow, and as the Rosh Yeshiva of the most famous yeshiva in the world, the Volozhin yeshiva (known as the Mother of Yeshivot). In 1906 he immigrated to Jerusalem, and after the passing of Rabbi Shmuel of Salant became leader of the Ashkenazic community of Jerusalem, even though he refused the official position.
