Rare lithograph printing of unknown bibliographic provenance, in blue ink. A poster entitled “Mishenichnas Adar Marbin b’Simcha” framed by Stars of David. In the center are fish and the inscription “Adar Mazal Dagim”. It was a common custom among the Jews of Hungary, when the month of Adar came, posters of this kind were hung in synagogues and private homes.


This printing is similar to other known variants from Hungary before the war, approx. 1940,
but this printing does not appear in bibliographic lists nor in various ephemera collections. Published by Avraham Schechter, printed by Yitzhak Friedman in Oradea, Romania. In Yiddish: Grosvardin.

Size: 31.5x42cm. Creases and slight tears in the margins. Overall good condition.
