"סדרתי משלוח עזר נשואין הנשלח ע"י זוגתי הרבנית תחי’ הנוסעת כעת לארה"ק" Letter of blessings for a marriage handwritten and signed by Rabbi Elimelech Ashkenazi Av Beit Din of Melbourne, addressed to Rabbi Yechiel Leifer, the Admor of Temeshvor-Jerualem – Melbourne, 1979.
In his letter, Rabbi Ashkenazi blesses him for his son’s marriage: "יהיה רצון שהזיווג יעלה יפה ויזכו לבנות בית גדול בישראל ומעכ"ת ירווה רב נחת מהם ומכל יו"ח". He also informs him that he sent a kit of Ezer Nisu’in and if he has any suggestions, now is the time to send them!!

The Gaon Rabbi Elimelech Ashkenazi (1917-2012) for dozens of years served as the Rav of the Chareidi communities of Australia and Brasil. Was one of the last students of yeshivat Chachmei Lublin and a leading disciple of the Gaon Rabbi Meir Shapira founder of the Daf Yomi.
