Lot 223:
Seder Hatfilah with Derech Chaim, Sephard vesrion, with Tikunei Shabbat and Nehora Hashalem. Warsaw, 1866. At its end, with a separate title page, Tehillim and a separate title page for Kinot for Tisha BeAv. An incomplete copy that begins with leaf 73. Tears, some of them open, and detached leaves. Taping and many marks of usage. Fair-poor overall condition.
On the title page of Tehillim, an ownership stamp from the youth of the Rav of Safed, the famed Chssid Rabbi Avraham Leib Zilberman "אברהם ליב זילבערמאן נכד הרה"ג האב"ד בעיה"ק צפת"ו". The leaves of the Siddur indicate that it was used by Rabbeinu for many years – there are wine stains on the leaves of Kiddush, Havdalah and the Passover Haggadah and other stains and marks of usage on the leaves of the prayers, Tehillim and Kino.
Rabbi Avraham Yehuda Leib Zilberman (1889-1948) was the Chief Rabbi of Safed for 30 years, grandson of Rabbi Refael Zilberman, who served as Chief Rabbi of the Ashkenazim of Safed as well. He continued his family tradition of serving as the delegates of Admorei Boyan to light the bonfire at Rashbi’s grave on Lag BaOmer.
