Sefer Ma’ayan Tahor – Dinei Taharat Hamishpacha in Yiddish by the holy Admor Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum of Ohel the author of the Yismach Moshe, founder of the Siget-Satmar dynasty.

Important bibliographic discovery! Apparently, this is a copy of the first edition of a book that has not been seen to this day. So far, the first edition was listed as the one that was printed in Lvov in 1848. So in Stefansky Chassidut no. 357 (which, by the way, appears in the National Library in the Rare Book Collection). This edition, however, preceded it as indicated by the watermarks appearing on the leaves, whose production, as is known, stopped in 1847. Thus, this Kuntres was printed at the latest in 1847. [16] leaves. The style indicates that it was printed in Lemberg.

Needless to say that this edition does not appear in the National Library and the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book and has certainly not been auctioned. This, therefore, is an extremely rare Chassidic item. This copy was shown to the famed bibliographer Mr. Moshe Rosenfeld, one of the writers of Otzar Hasefer HaIvri and he identified it as a copy of the first edition.

The book was written by Rabbeinu as guidance for his family members and was later printed and published over and over. At the beginning of the book, there is a letter in Yiddish by Rabbeinu stating the duty of women to study the book. On the title page, the printers wrote that they had added to his manuscript the Halachot of Hafrashat Chalah, Hamlachat Basar, Dinei Shabbat and Yom Tov and additional Dinim and end with a blessing:

"ובזכות זה וועלין זייא זוכה זיין צו בנים ובני בנים עוסקים בתורה אמן".

New soft cover. Dark blue ink stains throughout the book – see pictures. Filled-in moth damage. Many restorations. Fair overall condition.
