Chumash with the Onkelos translation and Rashi’s commentary. The first edition of the famed elucidation, which is considered a basic Chassidic book, Be’er Mayim Chaim by the Admor Rabbi Chaim of Chernovich. With the approbations of the Ohev Yisrael of Opatow, Rabbi Epjraim Zalman Margaliot and Rabbi Mordechai of Kremnitz – the son of the Maggid of Zlotchov – who received manuscripts of this book and made efforts to publish them. This book was printed for the first time in Mahlov, the section of Shemot only. The other sections were published in Sudilkov during the years ca. 1818-1825 – however, it is defined as the 1820 edition. Stefansky Chassidut 216.


Section II: Shemot. Originally, 282, 12, 17-38 leaves. This copy begins with leaf 2 and ends with leaf 32 of the second pagination. Old binding, worn and detached.

Stains and moth perforations. Detached leaves. Some tears. Fair-poor overall condition.
