Sefer Imrei Yitzchak, section I, on the Torah "להבין ולהורות, בפשטי המקראות, וטעמי מסורות, ומדרשי חז"ל הפליאות… בדרך דרוש ורמז…" the first book by Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Hacohen Schwartz, Moreh Tzaeddek of Dragmirpola / Drogmiresht (later authored the book Kevod Shabbat on Masechet Avot and Barchi Nafshi and Imrei Yitzchak on the Sugyot of the Shas) the son of the Gaon author of Beit Naftali, Av Beit Din of Mad.
First edition – Munkatch, 1912. [2], 72, [1] leaves. Approbations by the Admor Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Shapira of Munkatch, Rabbi Eliezer Deutsch Av Beit Din of Bonyhad and Rabbi Mordechai Winkler Av Beit Din of Mad. Appearing on the last two leaves are innovations by his two sons and son-in-law. Detached binding. No spine. Detached title page. Stains and traces and tape. Varied minor blemishes. Good overall condition.
On the flyleaf, a handwritten dedication: "להרב שליט"א מאת המחבר". A signature on the top of the title page reveals the receiver’s identity: Yaakov Zvi Katz. On the following leaf, his stamp with the title Av Beit Din of H. Soboslo. Another stamp with similar content in a foreign language.
Rabbi Yaakov Zvi Katz (passed away in 1964) Av Beit Din of H. Soboslo [Hajdúszoboszló, Hungary] author of Leket Hakemach Hachadash, the son and successor of Rabbi Shmuel Katz the grandson of Rabbi Shmuel Frankel of Dorog the author of Imrei Shefer. After the Holocaust moved to Amsterdam (see: Otzar Harabbanim 10284).
