Sefer Et La’asot section I. A moral composition, Shut format, "להורות לעם ד’ דרך ילכו בה ומעשה אשר יעשון" , by the Gaon Rabbi Hillel Lichtenstein of Kolomyia. Was written in Yiddish for the benefit of women too. 

Published by the author’s son – first edition in the author’s lifetime – Lemberg, 1870. [6], 120 leaves. The author’s introduction is also in Yiddish.  An additional title page that does not appear in the copy of the National Library. 

Tears to the title pages, stains and minor blemishes. Loose binding. Leather spine. Good overall condition. 

Appearing on verso of the second title page is the stamp of the author’s son:  "ברוך בענדיט ליכטענשטיין" (see below). On the back flyleaf, many interesting notations of births and passings – have not been thoroughly examined.  

Rabbi Baruch Bendit Lichtenstein, the son of the author and the book’s publisher.  He succeeded his father as Rav of Kolomyia in 1890. His brother-in-law was Rabbi Akiva Yosef Schlesinger of Jerusalem.
