Lengthy letter on both sides of the leaf handwritten and signed by Rabbi Chaim David Regensburg, addressed to Rabbi Ashkenazi – Chicago, 1970.
The letter expresses his love of the Torah. Rabbi Regensburg writes: "נעים וחביב היה לנו לבלות אתו בחג הפסח… כשהגעתי הביתה עיינתי בספרים בעניין שדברנו ב"ה שכל דברי מצאתי בהרבה מספרי רבותינו ז"ל… הקושיא שהקשתי על הר’ יוסף מא"י המובא בתוס’ קדושין".

The Gaon Rabbi Chaim David Regensburg (1895-1977) the son of Rabbi Dov menachem Regensburg Av Beit Din of Zambrova and son-in-law of Rabbi Yehuda Leib Gordon, the Gaon of Lomzha. Studied with the Chafetz Chaim of Radin. Received his Hora’ah Semicha by Rabbi Moshe Mordechai Epstein the Rosh Yeshiva of Slabidka. In POland, rabbeinu established a yeshiva in Zambrovka. In 1923, he immigrated with his in-law, the Gaon of Lomzha, to Chicago, where he served as Rosh Yeshiva and Rav of the Sha’arei Torah Anshei Ma’arab synagogue.
