Set of the Bavli Talmud, published by Rabbi Nachman Avraham Goldberg, printed by the convert Julius Zittenfeld – Berlin, 1862-1868. Major ttile pages with red lettering. A total of 11 volumes containing a large part of the tractates of the Shas, as follows:

3. Yevamot: 1863 (?).
4. Ktubot: 1862.
5. Kiddushin: 1862. Sotah: 1862.
6. Gittin: 1862.

Fine, original bindings with leather spines, scuffed. Stains and blemishes. In some volumes, moth perforations. Tears in some places, affecting the text. Has not been thoroughly examined for missing leaves. Good overall condition.
Appearing on the margins of the sheets are lengthy and significant handwritten comments and novellae in dense script, indicating the greatness of their writer. In addition to his sharpness, he introduces many references indicating his vast knowledge of the Jewish bookcase.
One comment refers to Zohar Bereshit, indicating the writer’s additional knowledge of Kabbalah.
