Lot 97:
Collection of letters by important Chabad Chassidim in Russia/Lithuania, addressed to Rabbi Yaakov Landau, the Rav of Bnei Berak.
– "Sofer of Dvinsk" Four letters by a Chassid who signed his name as "Sofer of Dvinsk". On the lower part of the letter, "M. Malorovich" is signed. The letters pertain to three Mezuzot which were ordered by Rabbi Landau from the scribe. The letters indicate that he was an important Chabad Chassid in Dvinsk. One of the letters contains Divrei Elokim Chaim on Passover.
– "אשריו שזכה לחסות בצל האה"ק" Letter by Rabbi Chaim Zalman Charl author of Sefer Divrei Chaim and Av Beit Din of Aizpute. The letter refers to several Chabadic rabbis and their towns.
– Correspondence about the writing of a Sefer Torah, a list of donors that was sent to the Rebbe Rayatz and a letter that was sent by the mashpi’ah Rabbi Shaul Dov Zislin.
– Letter by Rabbi Moshe Dober Rivkin, one of the Rashei Yeshiva of Torat Emet and Torah VaDa’at, with reference to the passing of the Rebbetzin Nechama Dinah Schneersohn, the wife of the Rebbe Rayatz.
– Two letters by Rabbi Nissan Tlushkin, author of Sefer taharat Mayim, with an interesting reference to a comment by the Rebbe that the quote he introduces in his book by Rabbi Landau is inaccurate. כל רז לא אניס ליה.
-Three letters by the Chassid Rabbi Moshe Ze’ev of Rostov. In one of them he inform Rabbi Landau that he had received the Pidyon Nefesh that he had sent before his wedding day and placed it on the Tziyun (the Rashab’s gravesite in Rostov).
-Yiddish letter by an unidentified writer informing Rabbi Landau that he finally succeeded in escaping Russia "היינט זינין מיר שוין ב"ה גיקומען צו פארין פון דעם טיפין פינסטערין ראס לאנד".
Sizes vary. Good condition.
