In general, the history of the Chabad Chassidim in Romania is a mystery. Little is known of the communities of Jassy and Belts. The Vaslui community is mentioned in the list of subscribers of Sefer Derech Chaim by the Mitteler Admor which was printed in Jassy in 1859. 

The title page and an additional leaf at the beginning are missing. (The second title page of Choshen Mishpat does appear). 

Detached leaves. Moth damage. Original, blemished binding. Fair condition.
