Lot 16:
Siddur Torah Or "Prayers according to the version of the Ari" with the second section, Sha’ar Hakollel.
Among the many refugees who escaped to Shanghai during World War II were many Chabad Chassidim. The Rebbe Rayatz asked these Chassidim to print books for the benefit of the refugees. Appearing on the second title page is a touching testimony of the devotion of these refugees to their Rebbe, even from the other side of the world: "Copied by the students of the Tomchei Temimim Yeshiva of Lubavitch Shanghai" – Kehat Shanghai 1946. An additional title page for the second section.
Original binding, partly detached. The spine is almost completely detached. Red edges to most of the leaves. Some moth perforations. Stains. Many wine stains on the Passover Haggadah. Good overall condition. Has not been examined thoroughly for missing pages. Basically, it seems a complete copy.
