Lot 102:
Typewritten letter on the official letterhead of Rabbi Yechezkel Feigin "secretary of the Admor Shalita of Lubavitch", the secretary of the Rebbe Rayatz, sent from Warsaw on the 16th of Kislev 1934. Addressed to Rabbi Menachem Mendel Kupershtock – the Chassidic Rav of Glebokie.
The letter announces that as part of the (second) historical visit of the Rebbe Rayatz to surrounding towns, he has agreed to visit their town as well. The letter was written in response to a touching letter they had sent in which the expressed their sorrow for the Rebbe’s unwillingness to visit their town, assuming the suggestion was rejected definitively. The secretary proves them wrong, noting they had misunderstood the previous letter that was sent to them, "רק טעם הדבר שנכתב המכתב ככה הוא להיות כי כן דרכו של כ"ק אדמו"ר שליט"א להיות כי כן הוא במדריגת הקדושה אשר הכל בדיוק ובסדר… ואמר לי אשר הצעת הלובקע לא נדחתה כלל ואמר לי אשר הנני יכול להודיע ג"כ… והנני ממהר זה להודיעם להרגיע רוחם". The secretary then signs the letter "Yechezkel Feigin".
22.5X29 cm. Fold lines. A stain in the center.
