Buyer's premium:

Historic and exciting: a huge, thick booklet, a summary of correspondence between the Etz Chaim institutions and around 1000 donors from abroad, mainly the US, with names of various rabbis.

Donors are also from London, Mexico, Canada, and more. Under each name is a summary of correspondence with the person, his requests for prayers, yahrzeit days, complaints, and details about estates and wills, and a summary of actions taken to receive more money.

Among the leaves are interesting details on the history of the yeshiva and its relationship with kollels and other kuppot in Jerusalem:

– A complaint about a mistake made whereby a certificate was sent in memory of someone who was still alive(!)
– “We wrote with great sadness about the events which prevented the head Ram from his journeys” (probably the Great Arab Revolt)
– “requesting a prayer for an etrog and channukah menorah, and we replied that we sent an etrog and promised a channukah menorah”
– “Rav Parush received a letter from R”Sh Breverman of Baltimore in which he writes that a donor sent Rav Kook $100 to support those affected by the unrest and he didn’t receive a receipt, and he said that if he won’t receive a receipt he will cancel all donations to Jerusalem institutions that are currently in his will.”
– “He asks whether there exists such institutions as Beit Tavshil HaKlali and Yeshivat Or Chaim-Shapira, and we responded in the negative for the second and positive for the first.”
