Appearing at the beginning of each Chumash is a fine peacock-feather-like decoration integrated into the Tiyug of the letters.

A unique scroll, small and light: Height of parchment: 29 cm. Height of script: 21 cm. 47 lines. Varied blemishes. Corrections. Etz Chaim of only one side without the discs. Is not sold as Kosher.

On its verso, on string,   an original lead stamp. On one of its sides, the symbol of the hammer and sickle of the USSR and on the other, an inscription in Cyrillic letters and the initials CCCP – an abbreviation of the full name of the USSR.

This stamp indicates that this item had left the USSR and unusually, received official confirmation and was not smuggled. According to the owner of the item, his uncle who immigrated to Israel from Riga, Latvia, brought the scroll with him.

The Sefer Torah is placed in a small suitcase and wrapped in light blue fabric. Very good condition of all the items of this lot.
