Rabbi Yosef Ya’avetz "HaChasid" (1438-1507), one of the greatest preachers in Spain and among the sages of the Expulsion. After the expulsion from Spain and Lisbon, he settled in Mantua. In his book, he strongly criticizes the study of philosophy, claiming that in the years of the Jewish people’s destruction, the educated were the first to convert, whereas the people of the land, the women, and the common people were the ones who withstood the test and gave their lives in God’s name. Rabbi Tzvi Elimelech Shapira of Dinov (1882-1968), son of Rabbi Pesach Langzam, His mother was the niece of Rabbi Zusha of Annipoli and Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk who blessed her with the birth of a son who would illuminate the world with his Torah and holiness, and commanded him to call the child by his name "Elimelech."
