A work on the communities and personalities of Galicia by Rabbi Meir Wander, biographer and greatest expert on Galician Jewry. This was Rav Wander’s last book and is not part of his monumental series Me’orei Galicia.
The book has a list of Galician towns with a detailed list of rabbis who lived in them. In a number of cities close to the author’s heart, the list includes biographical details about the mentioned personalities, such as the towns of Dinov, Zabrov, Yaroslav and more.
The second section of the work deals with various figures from Galician Jewry, not necessarily rabbis, probably figures not mentioned already in Me’orei Galicia.
Rare, as far as we know it can’t be acquired today, and has not appeared at auction before.
