Sefer HaZohar, Vayikra/Bamidbar/Dvarim. The blank binding leaf has a signature in an antique handwriting: “Sunday of Acharei-Kedoshim 1880, LeHashem HaAretz u’Melo’ah, Kalonymus Kalman HaLevi Horwitz Stern feld”.
This is the signature of the Rahak Rabbi Kalonymus Kalman HaLevi Horwitz Sternfeld of Poritzk (Poryck/Pavlivka)-Jerusalem (d. 25 Av 1885), son of the Admor Rabbi Yisrael of Lublin, about whom was said by the Chiddushei HaRim: “he is a masechet by himself and does not require yichus avot”, son of the Rahak Rabbi Yaakov Yitzhak HaLevi, the Chozeh of Lublin. He is the son-in-law of Rabbi Noach of Poritzk, and he immigrated to Israel toward the end of his life and resided in Jerusalem, where he is also buried (Mt of Olives). Among his descendants if the Admor of Babov 45 shlita.
Many worming holes, original leather binding is detached, overall poor to fair condition.
