The title page and body of the work (and end) have antique Ashkenazi notes which are difficult to read but testify that the work passed through several hands. Some of the names include: “David bar Aharon z”l[?]. The body of the work, before the Maharsha, has a comicalnote: “This book belongs to the person who bought it. Who bought it? He who gave the coins for it. Who gave the coins? Whoever opened his hand. The young Yehoshua ben Natan HaKohen.”. The last leaf has a note: “the young Shlomo Levi of Altin Kunstadt.” “This gemara belongs to the aluf torani … studying in Torn[?], today, the first day of Adar Sheni, 1790?1760?1743?, I lent this gemara…”
