Sefer Noheg KeTzon Yosef: laws, halachot, and minhagim with their te’amim throughout the year, as practiced in Ashkenaz, by Rabbi Yosef Jozfa ben Rabbi Moshe Kassman. He also wrote a machzor and slichot according to minhag Ashkenaz and other works. This work includes various interesting minhagim such as “the amount of walking time to shul”, as well as those connected with the order of prayers and kriyat Torah and the division of parshiyot. There is also a pretty song for Channukah with a commentary and, at the end, “A new song to be said when giving a sefer torah to a synagogue”, with a commentary.

First edition, Hanau 1718. [3], 89, [2] leaves. This copy is missing the last [2] leaves, which contain corrections; 3 additional leaves are bound out of place. A number of leaves from the end were bound at the beginning.

Approbations from Ashkenazi rabbis: Maharshashach Satin, Av Beit Din of Darmstadt and marbitz torah in Frankfurt-am-Mein; Rabbi Yaakov HaKohen Popres, Av Beit Din of Frankfurt; and the author’s father-in-law, Rabbi Yehuda Miller, Av Beit Din of Mark and the areas of Arnsburg Rhein and Katlan.

Pretty, new binding, repaired title page, last leaf repaired with missing part, stains and many signs of use, worming damage on a group of leaves, overall fair condition.
