Antique binding, leather spine, worming holes and damage, light stains, detached leaves, overall fair condition.

The title page has a Mizrahi signature and stamp with Arabic from the kabbalistic sage Rabbi Shalom Agiv (Ajiv, d. 1869), Av Beit Din of Tripoli and one of its greatest rabbis. He was the kabbalistic rabbi of the author. He was revered by all those of his city and even received the nickname “Sinai v’Oker Harim”. He was also known as a miracle-worker and many came to him for blessings. His student Rabbi Chai Maimon includes his chiddushim in the work Beer Lachay (Arzei HaLevanon p. 2052).

Additional signature from his son Rabbi Rachamim Agiv (Ajiv; d. 1935). He studied under his father and succeeded him in Tripoli. Arzei HaLevanon p. 1911.

At the end of the book are six or more pages with pretty Mizrahi handwriting containing additional indices, handwritten by the above Rabbi Rachamim.
