A shudder of holiness and excitement passed through us when we arrived at this holy item, at once we were drawn to the alleys of ancient Safed, to the majestic world of the revelation of Torat HaSod and the living place of the Ariza’s followers. The distinguished student of the Arizal and the copyist of his words, most of the writings of the Ari’s innovations and his foundations in Kabbalah passed through our Rabbi who poured out and watered the holy group from the Torah of his great Rabbi who filled it as a full and overflowing vessel.
The content contains wonderful explanations in a simple way and in Kabbalah on various Sages’ articles and verses from the Bible, in which another facet of our Rabbi’s greatness is revealed, who, in addition to being famous for his knowledge and understanding of the Torat HaSod, also had a lot of skill in the simplified part of the Bible in a thoroughly scholarly manner as well as in the wisdom of grammar.
The content was printed from this manuscript in the work “Etz HaDaat Tov” (attached is a complete analysis). Among the things which appear is a prayer for wealth: “Because Hashem sent his blessing … Hashem will not leave us ….”
A number of notes in the margins of the leaves are handwritten by his son Rabbi Shmuel Vittel.
21.5×15.5cm. Written on both sides of the leaf, light stains, bound in new and pretty leather binding, overall good condition.
